Kidney Care Centre had introduced Cadaver Transplant, Kidney Swapping, Laparoscopic kidney transplant procedure and transplant for different blood group patient and recipient for the first time in Tirunelveli District.

Laboratory

Medicine being essentially an investigation intensive field, we have well equipped laboratory with Biochemistry, Serology, Hematology, and Clinical pathology wings. Fully autoanalyzer, Elisa reader, pH meter, Flame photometer, Incubator; Blood Gas Analyzer, Sodium / Potassium (ion-selective electrode) analyzer, Nephelometer, urine analyzer, Automated cell counter, automated coagulation profile are some of the important equipments in our lab.

Immuno Micro Lab

We have a dedicated microbiology and immunology laboratory with sophisticated equipments under the supervision of a qualified medical microbiologist. . To mention a few Dengue, ANA, ANCA, C3, C4, Anti GBM Ab, HBs Ag, HIV, ASO, Ig A, PSA, HCV, CMV etc. We are doing Western Blot for HIV and ANA also. We are doing line immunoassay for ANA and Torch profile. Recently we have added Nephelometer – an equipment for measuring proteins in serum / Body fluid, accurately (CRP, C3, ASO, RF, Microalbuminuria and a1 antitrypsm).

Diet Department

As Dietary management forms a major part in Medical management, we have taken efforts to develop this area also. We have a qualified full time dietitian who does dietary advice for all inpatients and outpatients. A Diet Kitchen to prepare and send therapeutic diet for renal patients is being organized.To enable more effective management of renal stone diseases, orthopedic problems and for other vascular catheterization procedure, we have added C- arm image intensifier to our theatre.
